Difficulty: Easy. Flat paved rail trail.
Directions:
To Start from the Addison Pl parking lot [Northern End]; From Route 17.
Northbound; Take the Spring St exit and turn right. Take your next right for Island Rd and turn left, South. Quickly come to Addison Pl on your left. Follow past the trailhead on your right to a parking lot on the left.
Southbound; Take the Spring St exit to Island Rd and turn left, South. Quickly come to Addison Pl on your left. Follow past the trailhead on your right to a parking lot on the left.
The Ramsey Bike Path follows the former Paterson-Suffern Trolley Line North-South.
Starting from the Addison Pl parking lot [Northern End]; The paved trail travels South, along a residential corridor, partly shaded. Cross busy Island Ave followed by residential Chestnut St, Carol St and Arch St before coming to E Main St. Busy crossing. Small brook along Southern portion of the trail. The trail ends after 0.8 miles at Prospect St. Past here, the old rail bed is not accessible.
