Androscoggin Riverwalk:
Starting from the Mill Street parking lot in Brunswick [Western End]; Kiosk here. Travel North, across the Androscoggin River via the cable suspension Swing Bridge to Topsham, where you'll pick up the paved Androscoggin Riverwalk. Straight leads to the Bridge Street parking lot.
Note; Left, West, the paved trail brings you out to Bridge St.
Head right, East, along the wide paved Androscoggin Riverwalk as it travels along the river. Come to the Summer Street parking lot at 0.4 miles. Nice overlook of the Androscoggin River Dam. Informational signs. Trail narrows as it follows alongside Summer St, downhill to Main St. Head right, South, along the brick path (wide shoulder available) and over the river via the Frank J Wood Bridge where you'll have nice views of the dam. Cross back to Brunswick. Look right to spot a Fish Ladder and the Brunswick Hydroelectric Station. Narrow brick sidewalk continues.
Note; A crosswalk leads left across the road to 250th Anniversary Park which has a walking trail down to the river bank.
Turn right, West, through the parking lot (narrow trail available) of the old Cabot Mill out to Route 1 at 1.2 miles. Here a narrow, paved trail follows alongside this busy road (Caution if children in tow), however it's a very short distance back to the Mill Street parking lot after a 1.4 mile Loop.
